A Trip to the Zoo

Chad had a great idea to take the family to the zoo last Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time...until we went to go home and realized that our keys were missing! After calling Grandmother to come rescue us - and an hour and a half wait time - we finally got in the car to head home. That is when we found the small note tucked in the front door window telling us that our keys were inside the gas cap door!!! In my rush to get everyone in to the zoo I appearantly dropped the keys or set them down on the back of the car. I am so pleased to know there are still good samaritans in the world!

Our sweet little family

My boys were looking cool in their shades.
"Look at that big lizard mommy!"
There was a baby giraff that was Emerson's age!

Emerson was asleep when we got there, so I covered her up with the burp cloth to prevent sunburn! :)

It is tradition that Chad and Charlie take this picture. We have one every year since Charlie was about 8 months old.

I told Chad he HAD to take this one too, so Emerson would not feel left out. He was annoyed!

You just can't beat blue cotton candy!

Emerson did wake up for a few minutes to eat.

But with a full tummy and clean clothes, she was out again in no time.

Riding the carousel.

AND the train!

I'm not sure what had him so interested here, but I love this picture!

YEAH! What a great idea daddy!
